The 2017-2018 school year will be a year of change for the Seneca Street PTO — we have an entirely new executive committee! Read on to learn a little bit about each officer in her own words.
Linda Buschatzke, Co-President
I am married with three daughters aged 24, 22, and 8. I graduated from Clinton High School and then earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Hamilton College. I went on to graduate from Syracuse University with my Pre-K through 6th grade certification and master’s degree. I am currently completing my administrative degree from Canisius College. I love to spend time with family, camp, hike, travel, and enjoy time with my two yellow Labrador retrievers. As a teacher and a parent of a Seneca Street student, I am excited to take on the role of Co-President and help unite the students, staff, and parents!
Jennifer Roberts, Co-President
I am a lifelong resident of the Oneida area, and attended Oneida schools. I’m happy to be on board doing what I can to contribute to our school district’s continued success. My husband is an immigrant from England, and we have two boys, ages 9 and 4. I have a bachelor’s degree in architecture from the University at Buffalo and worked as a Computer-Aided Designer for several years before deciding to take a break to raise children. In addition to being a mom, I spend my time doing various freelance jobs and fixing up our old house. I’m excited to focus some of my creative energy on PTO activities and helping all our Seneca Street students enjoy great childhood memories.
Lisa Marshall, Vice President
I am married with one son, 9, and a daughter, 7. I graduated from SUNY Morrisville with a degree in Nursing. I love working with children and have worked as a Pediatric Registered Nurse for 15 years at SUNY Upstate Medical University. In my free time I love to golf, garden, hike and spend time with family and friends. I look forward to making PTO a success, to benefit all the children at Seneca Street. I want to show parents and my children that I care and want to be more involved in their world.
Kimberly Sheedy, Secretary
I attended VVS schools and then studied Psychology and Elementary Education at Le Moyne College. I received my master’s degree from Scranton and taught for seven years in various states down south before moving back to New York, where I taught in the Oneida City School District for four years. I am married with two daughters – Kamryn, age 6, and Kendyl, age 4 – who attend Oneida schools. I love spending time with my family and enjoy boating, traveling and volunteering in my daughters’ classrooms. I am excited to be the PTO Secretary, and hope to gain even more participation from parents, teachers and students this year.
Danielle Hudson, Treasurer
I have been married to my husband Mike for 11 years, and we have two children: Derek in 3rd grade, and Emily, in kindergarten. I attended Oswego State for my BS and MBA and now I work as a government accountant. During my free time, I enjoy relaxing and spending time with my family traveling. I am excited to be the Treasurer for the PTO this year to become more involved in my children’s school and activities. I want to ensure they get the best experience by helping to provide events that can be memorable for them and their friends.
